CDSCO Launches Tooltips for Legal Forms on SUGAM and Medical Device Online Portals
The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), under the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, has issued a circular dated 28 April 2025, announcing the rollout of tooltips for legal forms across its digital submission platforms – SUGAM and the Medical Device Online Portals.
Objective of the Initiative:
To enhance stakeholder experience and ensure more accurate and complete submissions in regulatory filings.
What Are Tooltips?
Tooltips are brief, context-sensitive help texts that appear when a user hovers over an information icon or field label. In this implementation, they provide:
- Clear descriptions of what information is expected in each field.
- Guidance to prevent common data-entry errors.
- Real-time clarification without navigating away from the form.
Platforms Covered:
- SUGAM Portal: Used for filing pharmaceutical-related applications.
- Medical Device Online Portal: Used for licensing and regulatory applications concerning medical devices.
