CBIC Notifies Kannur Airport as New Food Import Entry Point and Updated List of Authorized Officers
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), in collaboration with the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC), has announced the addition of a new food import entry point at the Air Cargo Complex, Kannur International Airport, Kerala. This update comes as part of the FSSAI Notification dated October 29, 2025, and Customs Instruction No. 31/2025-Customs issued on November 3, 2025.

- New Entry Point: The Air Cargo Complex at Kannur International Airport (Port Code: INCNN4) has been designated as the 166th Point of Entry for food imports in India.
- Authorized Officers: The notified officers for food import clearance at this new entry point include Superintendent, Appraiser, Inspector, and Examiner.
- Regulatory Framework: This notification is in accordance with Section 25 read with Section 47(5) of the Food Safety and Standards (FSS) Act, 2006, and Regulation 13(1) of the FSS (Import) Regulation, 2017.
- Updated List: An updated list of all 166 Points of Entry and their respective authorized officers has been provided in Annexure-A of the Customs Instruction.
