Key Highlights of the Order
The order provides exemptions for goods or articles under specific conditions:
- Purchase Order Date: The purchase order for the goods or articles must have been placed before the implementation date of the respective Quality Control Order.
- Bill of Lading and Bill of Entry Date: The Bill of Lading and Bill of Entry for the goods or articles must be dated on or before 180 days from the implementation date of the Quality Control Order.
- Documentation Requirement: Importers must submit the following documents to the Bureau of Indian Standards within seven days of clearing the consignment:
- A copy of the Purchase Order
- Bill of Lading
- Bill of Entry
- Supporting documents
- Effective Date: The notification came into force on 12th February 2026, the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
