Revised List of 666 Sizes of Tyres Exempted from BIS Registration in India

Refer to the latest DIPP Circular vide File No: P-39012/5/2018-L & R dtd 22nd Jan 2019, the Govt of India has notified a latest revised list of 666 sizes of Pneumatic tyres which are exempted from BIS registration in India. The list is annexed below for a ready reckoner.
These Sizes of Tyres are not manufactured by any company in India. However, these Tyres can only be imported by-
- Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for selling in replacement market through their authorised dealer
- Any Dealer/Distributor who has a written arrangement with the OEM to supply & distribute these tyre sizes for on behalf of the OEM in India
