GST Not Leviable on Import Ocean Freight in India


Supreme Court has dismissed the Special Leave Petition of the Government on the matter of applicability of GST on Import Ocean Freight. Now all the assessees who have received the Show Cause Notices on the said count may file their respective replies citing that judgment.

Also, those who have paid the Ocean Freight and have not utilized the respective Input Tax Credit may also file the refunds in the matter.
