DPIIT Issues New Security Manual for Licensed Defence Industries (SMLDI) 2025

The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce & Industry’s Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), has announced the release of the updated Security Manual for Licensed Defence Industries (SMLDI), 2025. This revision comes after a comprehensive review of the existing manual from 2014, conducted by the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
