CBIC Exempts Agriculture Infrastructure and Development Cess on Ammonium Nitrate

The Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 13/2026–Customs, dated 1st April 2026, announcing a significant exemption on the Agriculture Infrastructure and Development Cess (AIDC) for ammonium nitrate. This notification, published in the Gazette of India, is set to benefit industries and sectors reliant on ammonium nitrate by reducing their financial burden.
