Guide to Data Verification for Operations and Registration Wallet in the Common EPR Portal
The Common Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Portal is a centralized platform developed by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) to streamline the registration, data verification, and operational enablement for Producers, Importers, Brand Owners (PIBOs), and Plastic Waste Processors (PWPs). This article provides a detailed walkthrough of the data verification process required to enable Operations and Wallet modules in the Common EPR Portal.
1. Overview of the Enablement Process
To activate the Operations and Wallet modules, users must complete a series of steps:
- Register or Link Users on the Common EPR Portal
- Verify Migrated Data for Registration (Application) Module
- Verify Migrated Data for Operations and Wallet Modules
Only after successful data verification will the Operations and Wallet features be enabled for the entity.
2. Registration and User Linking
Steps for New Registration
- Visit the Common EPR Portal home page and click Register.
- Enter company and user details, then click Continue.
- Provide general information and upload required documents.
- A unique CEPR ID will be generated and sent to your registered mobile number and email.
- Click Submit to complete registration.
Linking Old Accounts
- For new users with unlinked accounts: Use the same authorized person PAN and company PAN to link accounts.
- For users with an SSO ID: Link any remaining unlinked accounts.
- For users with no accounts in the old portal: Proceed with new registration.
3. Data Verification Process
SSO Onboarding
- Click New Registration for first-time login.
- Log in using credentials and OTP validation.
- Use Forgot Password if needed.
- Navigate to the Plastic Waste Management tile and click Open.
- Select the desired role and fetch existing users.
- Link more accounts if necessary.
Application Data Verification
- After logging in, click All Applications next to your profile.
- View each application by clicking the eye button.
- Verify all details and proceed through each form.
- At the last form, click Verify details.
- Choose Yes if data matches, or No (with mandatory remarks) if not.
- Upload supporting screenshots in PDF format if needed.
Note: Only verified applications can proceed to Operations and Wallet verification.
4. Operations & Wallet Data Verification
Navigating to Operations & Wallet
- Log in to CEPR with your credentials.
- Click Open on the Plastic Waste Management tile.
- Select the registered unit and click Open.
- Use the Financial Year filter to verify historical data (avoid other filters for accuracy).
Operations Data Verification
- Go to Operations > Material Procurement Details.
- Select the financial year and fetch data.
- Verify procurement and sales data for the selected period.
- For sales, verify data category-wise and sum values across categories.
- Download records for detailed review.
Wallet Data Verification
- Go to Wallet from the left navigation panel.
- Use filters to view wallet cards for each category.
- Verify:
- Correct display of wallet cards
- Accurate debit/credit of EPR certificates
- Proper generation and availability of EPR certificates
- Certificate expiry details
- Filling transactions for all operation types (for PIBOs)
Finalizing Verification
- Click Verify details at the top of the dashboard.
- Select Yes if data matches, or No (with remarks) if not.
- Upload supporting documents/screenshots as needed.
- Complete and submit the Data Verification Checklist.
Important: Operations and wallet transactions are enabled only after the checklist is received and approved. There may be a short delay (up to 2 hours) before features become active.
5. Best Practices and Tips
- Always use the Financial Year filter for historical data verification.
- For sales data, verify each category separately and sum totals manually.
- Ensure all remarks and supporting documents are clear and complete if discrepancies are found.
- Regularly check for updates or changes in the portal’s verification process.
