Subject: Amendment in policy condition 1 of Chapter 88 of ITC (HS), 2012 โ Schedule โ 1 (Import Policy)
S.O. (E): In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 of FT (D&R) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends the Policy Condition 1 of Chapter 88 of ITC (HS), 2012 โ Schedule โ 1 (Import Policy) as under:
Existing Policy Condition 1 of Chapter 88 of ITC (HS), 2012 โ Schedule โ 1 (Import Policy):
- Aircraft and Helicopters (including used/second hand aircraft and helicopters) may be imported by the following without the need to obtain an import licence from this Directorate.
- Air India
- Indian Airlines
- Vayudoot Limited
- Pawan Hans Limited
- National Airports Authority
- International Airports Authority of India
- Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Academi (IGRUA)/and such other flying clubs/ Academies recognised by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India
- Any person who has been granted permission by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, for operating scheduled or non-scheduled air transport services (including air taxi services) for import of aircraft or helicopters, subject to the condition that the import of the aircraft or helicopter and their use is in accordance with that permission.
- The Aero Club of India.
- Revised Policy Condition 1 of Chapter 88 of ITC (HS), 2012 โ Schedule โ 1 (Import Policy):
- Aircraft and Helicopters (including used/second hand aircraft and helicopters) may be imported by the following without the need to obtain an import licence from Directorate General of Foreign Trade.
- Air India
- Pawan Hans Limited
- Airport Authority of India
- Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Academi (IGRUA) and such other flying clubs/ Academies recognised by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India
- Any person who has been granted permission by Director General of Civil Aviation, for operating Scheduled or Non-Scheduled Air Transport Services (including Air Taxi Services) for import of aircraft / helicopter subject to the condition that the import of the aircraft or helicopter and their use is in accordance with that permission.
- Effect of this Notification: The list of Organisations under Policy Condition 1 of Chapterย of ITC (HS), 2012 โ Schedule โ 1 (Import Policy) stands updated.
