Revised list of 600 Tyre sizes that does not require BIS Registration in India

The LR Section of Dept. for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has published a revised list of 600 tyre sizes that are not manufactured in India and hence is exempted from mandatory BIS registration. The list can be downloaded from the link given below.

Conditions:

  1. The exemption given is applicable only for OEM’s and not for Traders
  2. The exemption is only for BIS registration
  3. DGFT Notification no 12/2015-2020 dtd 12th June 2020 still needs to be complied by OEMs and Traders in the same manner. Said Notification is also attached in the below given link.
