India Signed a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) On 18-Feb 2022 with UAE to boost bilateral Economic Partnership through CEP agreement.
In order to facilitate the imports of goods from UAE the Indian customs department has revised the Import Basic Customs Duty (BCD) on the products that originate from the UAE and are Imported into India. However, to avail the benefits of India UAE CEPA the Origin Criteria must be fulfilled as per Customs Notification Number 81-2020 of August 2020 under the CAROTAR Rules, 2020.
